As Creative Director of video, I lead a team of six director/editors as they conceptualize, pitch, shoot, edit, and deliver high-impact videos across our platforms. We work with external clients, staff reporters, video producers, and our in-house design teams to create engaging editorial and branded content, including original series on our YouTube platform and video pieces to accompany articles and lists for Forbes.com.
Our video strategy begins with a slate of daily, news-forward shows, like the Daily Briefing and Forbes Talks. Next we have semi-weekly videos counting down our famous Forbes lists. At the top we have our reporter-driven Features and stylized Portraits series.
We also work within our branded content team, BrandVoice, to pitch ideas to clients, direct and edit branded series, and to work with multiple stakeholders to edit and deliver videos and photos that drives brand awareness and brings new revenue streams to the company.
